Welcome to the fit over forty blog. I am new to the world of blogging but I hope to share my journey this year, along with health and fitness advice for those of us that have exceeded 40 years of life. I exercise to maintain my physical health but more importantly, I exercise to assist with my mental health – it is a great tool in my toolbox to have! So, let’s raise each other up and share our experiences.
‘I dust off my trainers before I sprint off down the road
Only to stop a short time away as I do not have sprint mode
I puff and pant, cough and rasp, as I attempt to catch my breath
I realise it is time to accept, I may be past my best’
Whilst I wrote this poem I do not really think I am passed my best in fact, I may be in my prime! For the first time in 2019, I plan to run a marathon.
